Just as Leonardo da Vinci studied human anatomy and dissected corpses, so I try to dissect souls.
-Edvard Munch

The job of the artist is to deepen the mystery.
-Francis Bacon

Art does not reproduce what we see. It makes us see.
-Paul Klee

Why do people think artists are special? It's just another job.
-Andy Warhol

Things are not difficult to make; what is difficult is putting ourselves in the state of mind to make them.
-Constantin Brancusi
